1.INDUSTRY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

ENGINEER’S DEGREE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Information Technology (IT) is a branch of Computer and Information Technology. The Engineer’s Degree Programme in IT directs the expertise and the attitudes of the graduates as follows:

  • Mastering fundamental knowledge in information technology;
  • Being capable of identifying, analyzing, setting up and developing solutions based  on information technology;
  • Developing professional skills in some particular IT fields such as hardware, software programming, information system analysis and design, network system design and deployment, web design, IT project management and so on; demonstrating capability to do research which applies the technology innovation;
  • Based on the lifelong learning, establishing and developing expertise abilities related to technology, thinking, problem solving and other core skills;
  • Demonstrating the serious and progressive studying attitude; working in teams or groups effectively; being able to research independently and self-study to improve their own level; being capable of studying at higher levels at home and abroad

ENGINEER’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE 

Computer Science discipline is a branch of Computer and Information Technology. The objective of the Engineer’s Degree Program in Computer Science aims to train engineers with high quality, political qualities and professional ethics. Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of mathematics, natural science, and social science. They also master not only fundamental knowledge of Computer and Information Technology but also the specialized knowledge related to Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. Moreover, they are able to design, build and deploy software systems to meet domestic and international needs.

In addition, graduates from Engineer’s Degree Program in Computer Science are provided necessary knowledge to develop study in the higher levels in Computer and Information Technology field.

MASTER’S DEGREE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

In order to meet the social demand for human resources with high expertise in Information Technology (IT), this academic program is built to educate master’s degrees in IT with the following objectives. First of all, providing advanced knowledge in IT helps learners widen their professional knowledge. The second objective is the improvement of interdisciplinary knowledge between IT and other fields. Moreover, it brings opportunity for learners to have in-depth study in one of the specialized IT fields. In addition, it provides master students with capability to work independently, think creatively and flexibly solve problems in the IT industry.

The curriculum of Master in Information Technology aims to educate masters with political and ethical qualities; to provide general knowledge and research methods on IT; to provide capability to detect and implement research in order to solve practical problems of a common or in-depth nature; to provide capability of imparting IT knowledge; to acquire in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of information technology; to have scientific working methods, systematic logical thinking; to be able to communicate and work effectively in a team and integrate in an international environment.

2. FACULTY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The teaching staff of the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) has 57 permanent members graduated from a lot of the universities renowned nationally and internationally. They include 01 associate professor, 07 doctorates, 01 PhD student, 45 masters and 03 engineers. They are lecturers and instructors who are not only experienced in teaching and training but also have high professional qualifications. In addition, FIT has a number of regular visiting lecturers to support the teaching work with 02 associate professors and 04 doctorates. FIT is currently in charge of three academic programmes in the Information Technology field. Two of them are for the Engineer’s degree, and another is for the Master’s degree.
