Online opening of the 12th National Vocational Skills Exam
Education & Training – The 12th National Skills Exam in 2021 was first held in the form of an online exam and was conducted at the National Examination Council No. 1, Vinh Long University of Technology Education (VLUTE).

At the Hanoi bridge point, there was Mr. Dung Truong Anh – General Director of the General Department of Vocational Education; Ms. Huong Nguyen Thi Viet – Deputy Director General of the General Department of Vocational Education and Training, Head of the Examination Organizing Committee; Mr. Chi Truong Nguyen – Director of the Department of Vocational Skills, Deputy Head of the Examination Organizing Committee; Quang Ninh bridge point has Mr. Dung Le Quang – Deputy General Director of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Group, Chairman of National Council No. 5; Mr. Tuan Nguyen Quoc – Rector of Vietnam College of Coal and Minerals, Vice Chairman of National Council No. 5; Mr. Truc Vu Quang – Deputy Director of Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Deputy Director of National Training Council No. 5.
Along with all the National Councils, the participating delegations, members of the Organizing Committee, Committees and sub-committees, leaders of central and local ministries, companies and enterprises, and candidates participating in this year’s 35 occupations contest.

Speaking at the opening of the exam, Assoc. Dr. Phi Cao Hung emphasized, “This year’s exam has no precedent due to the impact of the pandemic, 11 occupations were held for the first time in an online form, of which 03 occupations were held for the first time in Vietnam and However, VNSkills software, built by VLUTE’s teaching staff, combined with a supercomputer system and a cloud computing application, ran stably, safely and handled all the content of the online exam. Through this contest, the General Director of VET and the Organizing Committee can confirm with the leaders of the Ministry and the Government about mastering technology and digital transformation, ready to organize competitions compete on a regional and global level”.

In order for the exam to be held safely, successfully, with quality assurance and achieve the set goals in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic, Director General of the General Department of Vocational Education and Training Truong Anh Dung suggested that national councils, schools register manage to mobilize personnel, arrange the best and most favorable conditions for organizing the exam. At the same time, promptly resolve arising situations so that the Exam can take place safely and achieve the best results. It is very important that the Exam Organizing Committee must ensure the requirements and strictly abide by the regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.
The contest is organized to honor the young workforce with high vocational skills according to the national occupational skill qualification framework and approach to ASEAN, Asia and the world occupational skills standards; keep up with the development trend of production, business and advanced science and technology in the new era. It is an opportunity for university students to exchange, learn and share knowledge and professional skills.
Through the exam, the Organizing Committee can select qualified candidates to join the national team to train and prepare for the 46th World Vocational Skills Competition in 2022 to be held in Shanghai (China).
This year’s exam will take place in phase 1 (from December 2 to 12, 2021) with 14 occupations, 11 occupations online at the National Council No. 1 with 140 candidates from 23 groups, 03 occupations directly at the National Selection Council. number 5 with 49 contestants. 9 occupations directly organized at the National Council No. 1 is expected to be held in the first quarter of 2022.
